Maintenance Reporting directly to the Plant Manager of Production, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for ensuring the continious functioning of all plant equipment and machinery.
This role involves maintaining and enhancing the efficiency of the resources employed through ongoing strategy, structure, and process optimization.
The Maintenance Manager will have direct reports and has both disciplinary and technical oversight of the maintenance team(s).
Compliance with all legal, local, and group directives and guidelines is mandatory.
The role also requires adherence to the statutory regulations within the field of occupational health and safety.
Responsibilities Leadership:
Be a health and safety role model.
Lead by example and provide continuous feedback.
Empower employees by openly recognizing success and achievements.
Foster open lines of communication and promote a healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with legal and internal company regulations in the areas of safety, energy, and environmental protection.
Instruct direct reports of identified risks and necessary precautions, to then initiate and implement needed measures.
Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance processes throughout the plant.
Verify and document the implementation and effectiveness of all maintenance measures taken.
Management Functions:
Implement the Egger management principles.
Oversee the technical performance of all maintenance employees.
Provide continued education and training for employees.
Boost efficiency and productivity for maintenance and project activities within the organization.
Cultivate and develop a proactive and cohesive team culture.
Maintenance Management:
Plan out the budget for personnel requirements, maintenance costs, spare parts needs, and all relevant cost centers.
Ensure the maximum possible technical compliance with all maintenance regulations.
Systematically enhance the maintenance program (PM, PdM, CM).
Plan, implement, and monitor necessary maintenance measures within the required time.
Create and adhere to maintenance plans as per EGGER specifications, legal regulations, and internal guidelines.
Measure and enhance overall production satisfaction, by handling complaints, and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure the further development and monitoring of risk management.
Maintain a comprehensive cost and performance reporting system.
Determine spare parts strategies and implement the measures taken.
Qualifications Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification, Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Lean Six Sigma certification.

years of leadership experience in a maintenance or technical position, preferably in wood processing facility or TFL (short cycle presses).
Experience leading projects related to maintenance and repairs.

year's maintenance/reliability experience in an industrial environment.
Experience conducting safety audits and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Experience implementing best maintenance practices & excellent operations.
Experience in managing budgets and cost control in relation to maintenance tasks.
Ability to lead and motivate teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and external vendors.
Ability to identify and solve complex technical issues.
Capability to prioritize and effectively manage tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions to improve maintenance processes.
An eye for detail to ensure all maintenance tasks are performed correctly.
Ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and new technologies.
